St. Gonzalo Garcia Mission Abroad
HISTORY

The Catholic mission in Bulandshahr was established by the charismaticmissionary Rev. Bro. Hubert CMSF in 1960. Fr. Edmund, OFM Cap was the firstpriest in-charge of the Bulandshahr mission.

Nirmala Convent and NirmalaConvent School belonging to the Congregation of the Franciscan Missionaries ofthe Most Blessed Sacrament were opened in Bulandshahr in 1962 in a rented housenear the Collectorate. The school was shifted to a new building in 1965 whichwas further extended in 1977. In 1986 a new Priest house was built by theArchdiocese of Agra in a plot owned by the Sisters in Aadarsh Nagar. From 1961the following priests rendered their services to the mission in Bulandshahr:Capuchin Frs. Edmund, Clement, Jaiswald, Timothy, Mathew, Peter Celestine, JohnJoseph, Ivan T., P. A. Joseph, John Lewis and Diocesan Fathers Sebastian Pantaladi,Johnson Chiriyankandath, Ignatius Chulliyil, Jose Maliekal, Antony C. J., SimonTuscano, Varghese Kunnath, Thomas Paramundayil, Joseph Rodrigues and ArunLasrado.
