Most Rev. Joseph Thykattil was born on 14 February 1952 and was ordained a Priest for the Archdiocese of Agra on 25 April 1988. It was a day of immense joy for the entire Archdiocese of Agra when Rev. Fr. Joe Thykattil was elected to be the bishop of Gwalior by His Holiness Pope Francis.

His Episcopal Consecration and Installation as the Bishop of Gwalior took place on Sunday, the 4th August 2019 in the presence of numerous bishops, priests, religious and lay faithful. The Archdiocese of Agra take pride in CONGRATULATING Most Rev. Joe Thykattil and assure our prayers for his new responsibility!
